It is a real claim or just a myth?
Perhaps you’ve heard of a couple of brands that claim to result to weight loss. Some of these pills would even allow you to choose from a different range of colors which correspond to different levels or strength of the pill. Whether you want to lose in just 14 days, or 20 days, these pills can give you that false hope you have always wanted.
Do not be deceived. While it is true that these pills can give you that weight loss you want in just a couple of days but, do not be disappointed when you don’t get it after sticking to your undisciplined diet or habit of eating while taking the pill. “Miraculous weight loss” doesn’t simply happen. These pills are not medicines, these are simply dietary supplements which if you check carefully on their bottles, and you will realize it has a label which says, “No therapeautic claims.”
Among the most common mode of actions of these weight loss claims is to curb your appetite. Hence, you don’t feel hungry for a day. But, if you carefully analyze this effect, you will easily deduce a conclusion from it. It’s not healthy. Once you start not eating because you never go hungry, your sugar level will surely drop, and your stomach will still continue to secrete acid and your colons will have nothing to digest. This can most probably result to ulcer or hyperacidity.
When taking weight loss pills, it is best you consult with your dietician first so that he or she will guide you with the right diet or the right set of foods you have to take.
If one should be honest about it, weight loss only gives you the false hope you badly needed when you think there’s nothing more that can be done. Truth is, there is always something that can be done. Whether it’s a 15-minute walk in the park or a 5-minute jog in place exercise daily, that’s already something and no matter how short the time is, it’s already the start of a good change. In the long run, you will know you’ll soon be reaping the benefits of taking the healthy route.
